Meet Your New Commissioner – Jeremy Craft

Brother Jeremy Craft (FL) was named to the Commission for Theological Integrity at our National Meeting in Kansas City, Missouri in July 2025. I am excited to welcome him to the Commission and look forward to his meaningful contributions on the blog and in other Commission duties. I asked Rev. Craft to put together a brief biographical sketch and wanted to share it with the readership. Please join me in welcoming him!

My name is Jeremy Craft, and I’m a native of Columbus, Georgia. I received a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies and General Christian Ministry from Welch College (2008) and a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton,
Massachusetts (2012).
I began my ministry to Free Will Baptist churches in Florida and was ordained into gospel ministry in February of 2014. Currently, I am the pastor of Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Chipley, Florida, where I have served since March of 2018. I have also served in
various associational roles on the local and state level, my most current position being the clerk for the Florida State Association.

While serving in Florida, I met my wife, Lindsay, and have
been married to her since 2018. As of now, God has graciously given us two wonderful children.

I have always had a love for theology and its application to the local church, and I have a special love for the Free Will Baptist tradition that has profoundly shaped my life and faith. I was a co-founding member and a regular contributor of the Helwys Society Forum from 2009 to 2014. There I wrote on issues of theology, culture, and biblical spirituality, and have occasionally made guest contributions since then.

In 2025, I joined the Commission for Theological Integrity (CTI). Over its history, CTI has developed an environment that fosters theological reflection and community among Free Will Baptist theologians, pastors, and laymen, something I have benefited from greatly. I believe CTI is critical, as it attempts to keep Free Will Baptists informed of theological and cultural trends that affect how they minister in a post-modern, post-Christian culture. I am privileged to serve Free Will Baptists in this capacity.
